ORIGAMI MEETS FASHION

The Trench coat was originally an item of clothing for Army officers. Traditionally this garment is double-breasted with 10 front buttons, has wide lapels, a storm flap and pockets that button-close.The coat is belted at the waist with a self-belt, as well as having straps around the wrists that also buckle. The coat often has shoulder straps that button-close; those were a functional feature in a military context. The traditional color of a trench coat waskhaki, although newer versions come in many colors.

The Bomber jacket or the Flight jacket refers to a garment originally created for pilots. They eventually became part of popular culture and apparel. In World War I, most airplanes did not have an enclosed cockpit, so pilots had to wear something that would keep them sufficiently warm. The U.S. Army established the Aviation Clothing Board in September 1917 and began distributing heavy-duty leather flight jackets; with high wraparound collars, zipper closures with wind flaps, snug cuffs and waists, and some fringed and lined with fur.
Now the Flight jacket is known as the Bomber jacket and is really popular in the fashion culture.

The Denin jacket
A Duffle coat is a coat made from duffel, a coarse, thick, woollen material. The name derives from Duffel, a town in the province of Antwerp in Belgium where the material originates. The design of the coat was modified slightly and widely issued during World War II. Large stocks of post-war military surplus coats available at reasonable prices to the general public meant that these coats became a ubiquitous and popular item of clothing in the 1950s and 1960s especially among students. In modern times, the type of fabric used to make duffel coats is known as Melton cloth.

The Leather jacket. In the early 1900s, brown leather flight jackets were worn by aviators and members of the military. During the Second World War, they became known as "bomber jackets" and were heavily insulated and prized for their warmth. The jacket was often part of an overall uniform ensemble meant to protect bomber pilots from exposure to the extreme climate conditions found at high altitude. In the later-half of the 20th century, the leather jacketachieved iconic status and general acceptance through an inextricable link to Hollywood. Such jackets were popularized by numerous stars in the 1940s and 1950s.A leather jacket could be used to shape a character, providing an important ingredient used to define the very essence of 'cool'.
